Vice President Of Sales

Salary $175k-225k PLUS 100% of salary potential bonus based upon company profitability: 50% cash, 50% deferred compensation. 401K comprehensive medical. Paid relocation.

Our client is a national wholesale distributor of outdoor sporting products. Employing more than 200 people, they are headquartered in Ohio and have six regional sales offices throughout the US. The company has a rich history dating back to 1965. Throughout their history, our client has been recognized with several major awards including Wholesale Distributor of the Year and recognized by major manufacturers as a "top distributor" for sales volume. Vice President of Sales
Reporting to the President and Chief Operating Officer, the Vice President of Sales has direct responsibility for 80 sales professionals nationally including Regional Managers, Account Managers and Inside Sales professionals. The three most important facets of this position are:
- To understand the vision and direction of the company in order to grow the business from its current $500MM to $1 Billion in top line revenue.
- To be a change agent and implement the company's new sales and ordering system across its client base.
- To help grow the regional management and field sales team.
Position Requirements
- Successful experience in the wholesale distribution business for outdoor products.
- Successful experience in leading a large, national outside and inside sales force.
- Proven ability to be both a strategic and tactical sales leader.
- Bachelors Degree
- Sandler sales training is a plus.
- Salesforce.com knowledge is a plus.
- Ability to accommodate 50% national travel requirement.
- Must relocate to client's headquarter location.
Candidates must have a passion for the outdoor sporting activities and equipment!
Looking for candidates who have a passion for "second amendment" activities like hunting or firearms and love the outdoors. Manages 80 field sales and inside sales personnel in regional offices. Initially 50% travel and then 25%.
Company is currently at $500MM in sales and is looking to grow to $1 Billion. Customers are local firearms dealers and gun shops. They do not sell to big box retailers like Cabellas and K-Mart. Company has implemented a new ordering system for its clients. There is going to be an evolution from the old style selling and ordering system to new Account Manager model. The VP Sales must be a change agent and drive the sales process in a strategic, as well as, a tactical manner. Sandler sales training is a plus as well as knowledge of salesforce.com.



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
