Growing, stable automotive supplier is seeking an electrical engineer - power distribution to work within their engineering team. The electrical engineer - power distribution will report to the engineering manager and will be responsible for the following tasks:
Maintain and improve the electrical safety program, including ARC flash and PPE
Oversee and optimize facility electrical power distribution
Oversee engineering projects and preventative maintenance initiatives
Support other engineers with electrical needs for new manufacturing cells and lines
Establish continuous improvement directives
Monitor and implement energy savings projects
Other engineering tasks as assigned
Candidates must be able to communicate directly and effectively at all levels, be self-motivated, take initiative on projects, work on multiple tasks and be hands on. This position requires candidates to be on the floor up to 50% of their day. Medical benefits are available the first of the month after 30 days of employment. Holiday, vacation, relocation, 401K and bonus potential.
REQUIREMENTS for the electrical engineer - power distribution:
1. A minimum of an associate's degree in a technical field
2. At least one year of similar electrical engineering experience
3. Experience with power distribution
4. Experience with ARC flash
5. Project management, including timelines
6. AutoCAD
7. Microsoft Office
Skills preferred but NOT required:
1. Automotive manufacturing work experience
2. PLC and/or robotic troubleshooting
